A lovely little plaque brooch that combines a little Art Nouveau and Art Deco in one piece. This sweet little brooch features foliate design bursting out from a basket motif. It has "berries" of natural seed pearls and the leaves are set with small, rose cut, diamonds. The metal tests as 15ct gold,but has no markings. This piece was originally something else and has been converted to the brooch we see today. When I first bought this, I had every intention of converting it to slide onto a velvet collar as I think it would look stunning, but I thought I would offer it to you first. The brooch itself measures approximately 30 mm x 17 mm and the pearls average at about 2.2mm each. All vintage items have been worn and loved before they find their next owner, so they should always be worn or used with a little more care than a brand new piece. Some minor scratches are normal.
